treatment types
Our partner clinics' primary goal is to preserve the patient's teeth and to preserve her/his natural chewing function. The dentists are mindful of the fact that inappropriate treatments and the utilization of inexpedient materials can lead to neck pain, grinding of teeth, stomach pain, allergies and bone loss. Ultimate Dental Travel's approach towards care goes beyond your teeth. We care for your whole person - for your ultimate happiness.

In order to develop your treatment plan all we need is a digital panoramic x-ray (OPG) on CD or by e-mail.

Our partner clinics in Budapest offer the following treatments:

Implants
Implants are artificial roots that are implanted in the patient's jaw bone in order to replace missing teeth. There are different types of implants which mainly differ in shape.

Today all implants are made of titanium. For those patients who suffer from allergies, implants made of zirconium that are used in our partner clinics are an ideal alternative.
After the healing period of 3-6 months an abutment is placed on top of the implant. This abutment serves as the basis for manufacturing the crown. The topping crown gives the implant the look and feel of a natural tooth.

Advantage:
All missing teeth can be replaced by inserting implants. Thus, there is thankfully no longer a need for dentures with their many disadvantages.

Crowns
Crowns are used when the tooth cannot be preserved any more by using fillings due to too much destruction. Crowns can be manufactured out of noble metal. For improved aesthetics, the crowns are treated with a metal-fused or metal-bond ceramic facing and are likened to the neighbouring teeth in colour and form.

For particularly high aesthetical requirements we offer the opportunity to have crowns manufactured from full ceramics. The advantage of these completely metal-free crowns lies especially within their having no allergy triggering potential whatsoever.

Bridges
Bridges are used to replace missing teeth by a fixed and solid denture. The neighbouring teeth are ground and crowned and serve as "bridge pillars". The gaps can be filled by placing the bridge elements between the neighbouring teeth. The materials listed above under "Crowns" are used here, too. Today's high-tech bridges are manufactured from zirconium.

Veneers
A popular method for improving the front teeths' aesthetics is to place veneers over them. They are often used for patients with discolouring or misalignment of the front teeth, in order to obtain a better look through a brilliant white smile.
The front teeth are ground and thereafter bonded with thin veneers that are made of ceramics. These veneers are being manufactured in the laboratory after the patient's individual preferences.

Disadvantage:
This method is only suitable for teeth that have no or only little caries.

Dentures
If several teeth have been lost over the course of time, the preparation of crowns and bridges is often no longer feasible. To replace the missing teeth, synthetic teeth are combined with gum-coloured parts. The dentures are anchored into place using securing fittings fitted to the remaining dentition. Depending on the remaining teeths' condition different types of dentures are used. These are partial dentures and full dentures.

Partial dentures
An economically priced way of filling gaps caused by missing teeth and of restoring the lost chewing function.

Disadvantage:
Dentures are removable
They are rather uncomfortable
They lead to increased bone loss in the jaw

Full dentures
Full dentures are a way of restoring or preserving the lost chewing function, when there are no remaining teeth.

Disadvantge:
Dentures are removable
They are rather uncomfortable
They lead to increased bone loss in the jaw
They lead to pressure sores

Conclusion: Dentures are old-fashioned, since all of the problems mentioned can be avoided by using modern implants.

Fillings
Smaller holes in a tooth often only require fillings. These filings are aesthetically pleasing without reducing durability or compromising static requirements. They are manufactured by the dentist from ceramic composites. These fillings are almost invisible as they match your teeth very precisely

Inlays
Inlays are very durable fillings that are hand-crafted in the dental laboratory. Depending on the patient's preferences, inlays are made of gold or ceramic. This guarantees a long lasting, aesthetic, strong and loadable filling.

Advantage:
Inlays are much more durable than normal fillings that are made from the synthetic material "dental-resin".

Bone-grafting / Sinus-lift
By these methods the jaw bone can be reconstructed in case of bone loss caused by resorption due to missing teeth or ill-fitting removable dentures so that inserting implants is possible again. By these means a prosthesis can be avoided.

Advantage:
Improving the patient's quality of life by jaw reconstruction and subsequently gaining new options for restoring the teeth.

Periodontal treatment
Periodontitis is an infectious disease. It is caused by aggressive bacteria that attack the mouth's soft dental tissue. Periodontitis can result in a loss of soft dental tissue and bone. In addition to an x-ray examination, the depth and condition of the peridontal pockets is determined and documented using a periodontal probe. The documentation is very important for mapping the course of the disease. Additional treatment of the infected areas with ultrasound and laser is often helpful.

Tooth Whitening
'White teeth' are increasingly the focus of attention, and symbolize health and beauty. In addition to professional tooth cleaning, which uses airflow technology and results in a considerable aesthetic improvement, the use of chemical substances can also result in a profound whitening of the teeth.
