>> DENTAL INLAYS ABROAD
Dental Inlays or onlaysare types of indirect fillings that are manufactured in a dental laboratory, using precise CAD/CAM technology. Indirect fillings are considered when not enough tooth structure remains to support a conventional filling, but the tooth is not so severely damaged that it needs a crown.
Unlike conventional fillings which are made from a paste-like substance, inlays consist of a rigid material (Zirconium) which is far more durable than that used for conventional fillings.
A huge advantage is that inlays/onlays will not shrink such as traditional materials would. Therefore, no hairline cracks will open between the tooth and the filling into which bacteria will lodge, thereby causing the tooth to decay underneath the filling and eventually down into the root.
The colour of the inlay/onlay can be exactly matched to the existing shade of white of the natural tooth, giving the impression that the tooth isn’t filled at all.
